Classes and Syllabus


Pre-school/nursery

For children aged between 3 and 6 years of age.

The group works on topics such as rudimentary alphabet, reading and writing, numbers, clothing, family, myself, home, seasons, colours, animals and plants and a general awareness of their environment.

Language is introduced in a way which young children engage with; for example through stories and songs.

Ages 6 - 14

Anatoli and Nico


There are 2 class groups in this age range, for children at a greater language development range, learning and covering aspects of grammar, formal reading and writing of Greek language and conversational skills.

Lessons include a few elements of the homeland, history, geography and culture.

Nico's class covers all these subjects, but in more details and provides additional support for those students who require individual encouragement.

Additional emphasis is placed on formal reading and writing.


Ages 13 - 17

Mr Panicos Stavrinides


This class is for GCSE and GCE level studies.
Work includes formal reading and writing of Greek language to the standard required by the edexcel syllabus, and also detailed views of the homeland, history, religion, geography and culture and the arts.


Dancing and Music
all ages

Katerina Stavrinides


All the pupils attend, in class groups, lessons in traditional Greek dance and music.
The children have the opportunity to celebrate Greek and Cypriot culture in public dance demonstrations.
